26 Oct 08 it’s a pod, it’s a phone.. it’s iPhone

I am finally a proud owner of a black iPhone 3g.  I finally was able to leave Sprint, but couldn’t keep my number.  My old number will be forwarding to my new number, but give me a call so I can give you my new number.

25 Oct 08 Pather Finder 5 is full of awesome

Took the time to write an actual post about a nice little piece of software that I was recently introduced to.  Check it out if you’re interested.  [Link]

I know, it’s been a while since either of us have written an actual post about something we like, but I just couldn’t help myself with this gem.  Path Finder 5 is out and it’s all kinds of awesome.

I’ve always found the Finder to be a little bit lacking, such as the missing ‘tabs’ functionality.  Path Finder has always interested me, but I could never use it.  It just didn’t integrate well enough with the operating system.  That’s not so anymore.  Path Finder offers functionality that replaces Finder’s desktop with it’s own more customizable desktop.  Commanding Path Finder is now even more seamless and offers everything that Finder is capable of, and boasts a plethora of additional features that will satisfy even the most picky power user. 18 Oct 08 Oh look at me, I’m blogging with my iPod

Oh look at me, I’m blogging with my iPod. Why? Only because I can. Not sure what the big deal is about typing on the iPod/iPhone, but I find it totally easy. And this wordpress app seems pretty cool. If only spell check worked in the title field.

Anyways, this post was to confirm that I’m still alive. I’ve become more active on twitter recently, so feel free to hit me up over there. www.twitter.com/ebel3003

14 Oct 08 Apple Releases More Notebookage

Today Apple released a new lineup of MacBooks and MacBook Pros. I have to say, these machines are slick. They appear to be screaming fast as well, sporting DDR3 1066MHz RAM. I am kind of disappointed, though. I was kind of expecting Apple to introduce a more affordable MacBook to the market, perhaps like $800, especially with the way that the economy is right now. Oh well, I’m still happy with my “Merom” MacBook Pro, especially when it’s just for surfing and video nowadays.

Additionally, a long overdue update to the Cinema Display line was introduced today. Though, with Dell’s monitors becoming so affordable and still looking spectacular, I see no reason to buy one other than the Apple look. Unfortunately the new display only accepts DisplayPort now, unless you have an adapter. It is nice to see a manufacturer pushing DisplayPort, though.

11 Oct 08 Adventures of Blizzcon: Event Day

Yesterday Joe and I attended Blizzcon.  It was very lively and we were able to play yet-to-be-released games such as Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3, which were very fun.  The costume and dance contests were pretty cool, some of the costumes were very well done.  Here’s a few photos from the event, unfortunately the lighting messed with my camera’s focus a lot.
