I noticed that Wordpress 2.7 beta 3 was released (I was on 2.6), and decided to give it a go. What I didn’t realize is that the Wordpress administration interface is completely different. After spending a few minutes with it, I have to say that I really like it. It’s extremely easy to navigate and with the Google Gears Firefox plug-in installed, it’s extremely responsive. One feature that I like in particular is the ability to search the plug-ins repository via the administration interface. Makes looking for new plug-ins extremely fast and easy. Overall, I’m happy with it and excited that they decided to overhall the interface.

Played a bit of Gears 2 today after getting home from class. I got stuck in an excruciatingly long game of Submission on Blood Drive. We finally lost 2-1 and clocked in at just under 45 minutes. It’s all good though, as we got a lot of points towards our next rank.
I really didn’t care much for the first Gears of War, mostly because it was extremely difficult to get good at, but I’m enjoying the sequal a lot more. I’m actually not too bad at this one, either. I guess everything is more fun when you’re winning…
Was testing out Flickr’s post to blog feature, so here’s my current desktop. I’m loving the total lack of icons or dock. Feels extremely clean and productive. Click for bigger-er.
Yesterday I picked up copies of Gears of War 2 for my brother, his friend, and myself. This game is fantastic. All of the quirks and bugs that still linger in the first are absent from the sequel. The multiplayer is bigger, better, and one-hundred times more entertaining than the first. Horde mode is a blast to play with a group of friends, and the party matchmaking is something that Gears players have longed for since forever. The campaign is also way more intense and entertaining than I expected.
Unfortunately this game has caused me to put purchasing Resistance 2 on hold, and to neglect my friends on Warhammer, but it’s the one and only sacrifice I’m willing to make for a 360 title this year. Get it.
On a side note, I’ve done tons of server tweaks in order to boost performance a little. The result? A huge performance gain. Happy day.
You know you’re hot stuff when you can divide your posts into titled sections. (Just kidding. Kind of.)
Let’s Get Shiny
If you know me at all, you know what happens when something of mine is perfectly fine. I get bored with it and decide to make unnecessary changes. I decided to grab a recent theme based on Google Chrome’s interface. At first I didn’t like it, but it grew on me.
Any frequent readers (do I have frequent readers here?) will have noticed that I’m a bit less active than I’ve been in the previous months. Reason is, I spend all my time whining about things on Twitter that I have no material left for my own blog.
LittleBigTimeSink
I recently picked up LittleBigPlanet, a recently released platformer for the Playstation 3. It’s basically a platformer that allows you to create and share levels over the Playstation Network with other players. The possibilites are virtually limitless. I’ve already seen someone recreate Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog and reinvent Tetris with jetpacks. I’m having a blast and can’t wait to delve into some of these great user created maps.
iThink therefor iPhone
With the iPhone now in my pocket, I’ve become a Twitter and Flickr fiend. I am now ‘tweeting’ more than blogging. Follow me at http://www.twitter.com/ebel3003. I’ve also added a photostream to the right side of my blog. I have no particular theme or objective to accomplish with my photos, they’re just random things uploaded from my iPhone while I’m on the go.
